CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Children of all ages are very welcome at St Peter's!
There are a number of different groups and activities for children and young people which take place during our 10am Sunday service and throughout the week. These are safe and fun environments for them to learn about God and grow in their friendship with him.
St Peter's has a fulltime Children & Families Worker who runs many of these activities and supports families in the Church.
You can find out more about Helen and get in touch with her here.

On Sundays, children are in the main service for the first 10 minutes before going out to their groups, then they return for the final few minutes. These groups are led by DBS-checked and trained members of the congregation, and overseen by our Children & Families Worker, Helen. Parents/carers are welcome to stay with their child during the group or go back into the service after registering them. There's no booking system - just turn up!

Sundays at 10am. Ages 0-4
Tots
Tots (for 0-4s) meets in the Church Hall, which is filled with activity stations and toys. There is also a secure area for the littlest babies with bouncers and sensory toys. We begin with our Hello Song and then enjoy a short, age-appropriate Bible story while eating breadsticks. This is followed by some singing and then around 20 minutes of free play, which always includes an optional craft. We finish with a biscuit and the Goodbye Song before going back into Church for the short remainder of the service.
Sundays at 10am. Age 4 - end of Year 3.
Scramblers
Scramblers (for age 4 - year 3s) takes place in the Church Hall and is filled with games, activities, craft, building friendships and discovering something from the Bible. If the weather is nice we go into the churchyard to play games. Most children stay in the group on their own but parents/carers are welcome to stay if they would like.

Sundays at 10am. Year 4 - Year 8
Climbers
Climbers is for our older children (year 4 - year 8). We meet in the Flower Room (you will be shown where this is!) and each week we enjoy games, fun activities and discovering more about the Christian faith.

School Assemblies & Visits
Rich (St Peter's Vicar) and Helen (Children & Families Worker) are regularly invited by the various Brackley primary schools to take assemblies and lead RE lessons. Schools also come down to the Church to learn more about what goes on and for the occasional service. Brackley Junior School is a Church of England school and has particularly close ties with St Peter's.
