All Saints and All Souls
At the beginning of November each year we remember those who have gone before us in the faith. All Souls is the day when we remember those whose life of faith has been an example to the Church. The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed, or All Souls reminds us that the Church is composed of all Christians, throughout all ages and all time. We take the opportunity to remember and pray for and with those who we love but see no longer.
Our Memorial Service is held at 3pm on the Sunday closest to All Souls Day (November 2nd). The prayers, talk, readings and hymns are reflective in nature, the names of those we wish to remember are read aloud. (A book is placed in church during the preceding two weeks for you to write names of your loved ones.) The congregation is invited to come forward and light a candle in their memory
