Bells and Bellringers

The tower at St. Peter’s has 8 bells which are rung before the 10am service each week.  The sound of bells can also be heard around the town on Monday evenings from 7.30 - 9 when the group practices.  Brackley people often comment on the joyful sound of the church bells.  Many brides like to book the bell ringers as part of their wedding celebrations.

The Brackley bell ringers are part of the Diocesan Guild of Bell Ringers and they welcome enquiries from anyone interested in learning this wonderful traditional skill.  There are outings to other towers to ring the changes and often in September some ringers head off for a few days ringing in another part of the country.

The church is grateful to the ringers for looking after both the church clock and providing flags to fly from the tower on significant dates.  A new St. George’s flag has recently been purchased and we look forward to seeing it raised soon.
